Fakir's Silence Poem by Sumita Jetley

Fakir's Silence

In the city of whispers and ancient stones,
A dervish prays where the zephyr moans.
His robe, a tapestry of time's embrace,
With prayers for the soul's eternal grace.

Prayerfulness, a river to the sea,
Peace, the night's starry tapestry,
Prosperity, the heart's blooming rose,
In the desert's rare rain, it quietly grows.

When the world's embrace turns cold and tight,
And the walls draw near, obscuring light,
His heart, a silent prayer's sanctuary,
Awaits the breath that sets it free.

In the ebb and flow of grace divine,
He finds his peace, his soul's true line.
For in the dance of prayer and wait,
The dervish's heart opens wide the gate.
