Fallen Angel Poem by Lisa Bennish

Fallen Angel

Only pretty on the outside,
No one understands, no one can save her
Standing alone in a mirror,
I look into the eyes of a fallen angel
Her heart's a cold black stone,
She feels as if it's ceased beating
She's suffocating, barely breathing
Inside she's silently screaming
Her mouth makes not a sound
Beyond salvation, is this damnation?
Is there a hope, a prayer, left for her?
