Fallen From The Stars Poem by Lu Vernezze

Fallen From The Stars

Why do you do it to yourself?
Smoke yourself off the shelf
Never to stand up again
You wouldn't care
You never did

Laziness is dying slowly
In a way, it really is
Not been bothered to present yourself
In a way that others see fit

You've done it
Your mothers worst dream
Fell at the roadside
Falling away at the seams

But it's still not too late to get away
It's still not too late
It can all wait
Don't let it ruin you
Don't say you've fallen from the stars
