Falling Short Poem by Blake Nox Gama

Falling Short

An eclipse in the sky

And ellipsis in her lips

Oh, not on her lips, not on her lips.

In this empty room

With just the two of us

And the ellipses hanging in the air

Outside the window there's no light,

There's an eclipse in the sky

And everyone looks up blind

With ellipses in their eyes

But in this empty room

With just the two of us

Not a single word breathes

Not a single emotion flicker

Because her eyes are dark eclipses

And her lips are pale ellipsis

And nothing can survive the dead stillness.
