False Prophet Poem by Frankie Bragg

False Prophet

I trusted you
and you betrayed me well.
I followed your teachings and preachings
making sure by doing this, in life I would excel.
I sowed into your life
thinking I was doing right by GOD.
You lived a double life
which god were you following.
I admired you for being a man of the cloth
too bad now your cloth is bloodstained.
GOD gave his only begotten son, so that this world would not be lost
Your dead works blasphemes such a holy name.
Wait...I see GOD
now I don't.
I used to respect you
now I won't.
I hope you soul was worth whatever
you gave up to compromise your faith
Head bowed, eyes closed, JESUS GOT THE FINAL SAY.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This was a church hurt I experienced. I am healed and not letting that bad experience deter me from my walk in GOD.
