Fantasies Poem by Edwina Reizer

Fantasies

My fantasies keep occurring now.
Is that because I'm older?
Or is it just the plain simple fact
that as I age I'm bolder.
For every day scenes are just that.
But what I fantasize
I could never see on earth,
not with these tired old eyes.

But my eyes are not how I see them.
They are pictures in my head.
Some of them are too personal.
They're better left unsaid.
Most of them are mentionable
but I don't think I will.
You must dream your own fantasies
before you're over the hill.
