Fantasies. Poem by Katusiime Jeresi

Fantasies.

Rating: 4.3

If I were a dandelion would you be a bee?
Would you be drawn to my screaming yellow?
Would my nectar be worth the flight?
If I were an albatross would you be the wind
Under the gigantic span of my wings?
Would you steer me to shores where
Your rage is unknown?
You are quick to speak loves' riddles
Would you speak peaceful sense
Were I eternally drunk with rage?
And if the morrow finds me
A cold lingering morning mist
Would you be the stubborn night?
Would you fight a lost battle with the rising sun?
If I strip myself of fantasies
And stand as I am
Would you love me just as
If I were a dandelion and you were a bee?
