Farewell Party - Sonnet Poem by Ramesh Iyengar

Farewell Party - Sonnet

Farewell Party – Sonnet

This evening mild, calm, so fair
Doth we have the town’s elite here.
The tall captains of industry present
The wise and elders, virtuous eminent
of schools, the taught and the teachers,
the vast workforce in all cheers
witness an occasion, in all gay
make our students tread their way
Fair is the day, as the evening is
occasion to send off our students thus.
Our choosy benedictions on products these
for career successful, bright at ease.
For favour divine in exams ahead
in faith in works of almighty Lord.
