It is often a simple farm gate
But once you go inside
You see a world all its own
A place you’d love to reside
The designs are not always
As simple though you see
They are sometimes quite fancy
And impress both you and me
Once inside that gate you may
Drive down a red dirt road
A simplistic way of life it is
That helps you carry your load
There are crops and sweet animals
Farm buildings in every state
All of this you will see, my friend
As you enter that farm gate!
When I was a young lad such pleasant memories I had of that old farmgate, thanks for reminding me 10 Chris
