Fasten The Clutch Poem by Mason Maestro

Fasten The Clutch

There are flags on the street
Red, white and blue
Crowds stomping their feet
People pressing on for truth
But there are warning signs
No free speech zone
Between the orange lines
Subject to fines
Or tied with twine by the armored swine

Fasten the clutch on the free world
Passin’ the torch for the free world

We see dissenters in the night
With stones in their hands
Beneath broken street lights
Ignore the dispersal demands
Another kids is put away
He's gonna take the hit
May never see the light of day
There was just no other way
Sacrifice to guarantee headway

Fasten the clutch on the free world
Passin’ the torch for the free world
