Fatalist Poem by Edwina Reizer

Fatalist

Journey close or journey far.
It makes no difference where you are.
For life will find you wherever you go.
You can't escape it for it does know
what you need to make you grow.

If your needs are many or few,
no need to worry, they'll come to you.
You will have choices that you will make.
You will give and you will take.
And most times things will even out
and at other times you'll be left with doubt.

You'll doubt the truth and swallow the lie.
You'll react with denial and sometimes defy
that this is what can make you grow.
But in the end all that you'll know
will prove to be what you came here for,
nothing less and nothing more.
