Fathers Day Poem by Paul Warren

Fathers Day

I still can see his smiling face
Laughing out loud in such good grace
And how he made me feel
To me he was the real deal

If I needed advice he had a clear head
Working your way through it he said
There was no problem that can't be fixed
And experience was his bag of tricks

When he passed away I cried
Such a loss I could not abide
And when it was my turn to be called dad
What I learnt from him made me glad

On this our Fathers Day
I remember him and and his way
Such a gentleman in how he treated everyone
And I am so proud to be known as his son.
