I know you will agree
it is a fantastic food combination
Don't have to be a master chef
when looking for satisfaction

It is a wonderful sandwich
that is an American staple
It is easy to make and transport
not always eaten at the table

White bread is preferred
not too soft or it will tear
Spread a big smile generously
onto each anticipating square

Milk is a necessary companion
for a peanut butter and jelly
sandwich it helps to facilitate
a smooth slide to a hungry belly

It is a favorite of small children
who grow into mature adults
carrying with them lasting memories
that still evoke mouth watering results
