I'm afraid
Of the love that you show
And the love I feel for you
It's so pure and true
I'm having trouble believing
That it is real, through, and through
I don't want to get hurt like I have before
But I still let you in the door
Knowing that it might not last
That it will probably fade incredibly fast
I give my heart to your open hand
Begging for it not to slip through your fingers
Like a million grains of sand
I guess all I can do
Is wait and see
What you'll do to my heart
