So many things I wish I could say to you
But so many things you can't undo
Why waste my time with something that doesn't feel right
When I could be feeling my way into the light
I have so many dreams
But sometimes things aren't what they seem
Reality and the surreal begin to blur
As an emotion in my heart begins to stir
I refuse to let your hate get me down
I refuse to let myself drown
I will not let this life destroy who I am
Even though I don't have a plan
I will stay true to myself
This promise I make
This world is mine for the take
