Lie Of Your Love To Me Poem by Elizabeth Fletcher

Lie Of Your Love To Me

The moon and the stars
Shinning brightly as ever
Reflect the love in my eyes
Yours filled with nothing but lies

My thoughts racing faster than cars
The words you will say never
Are flowing off my tongue
My breath short out of my lung

I feel as though I am a human on mars
You think you're deceiving me, that you're clever
But I know how you truly feel
But I lie to myself that what we have is real

I love you, that much you know
But what you don't is that I see the real you
The one you hide from
The one that you hate
The one that terrifies you

I adore it all
But you won't let go
And give into what we have
You're to afraid of the fall.

All I ask is that you keep lying
So this dream is a reality
Tell me that you love me
