Fearmonger Sonnet Poem by David Welch

Fearmonger Sonnet

Our planet is dying, more every day,
we have to stop driving, turn off our lights,
or caps on the poles will soon fade away!
…still treehugger-boats get caught in the ice.
The virus spreads, lock yourselves in your home,
to hell with this ‘freedom, ' just stop the spread,
a greater danger has never been known!
…had a cold last month, somehow, I'm not dead.
That man is a monster, don't support him,
he'll lead us to war, and nothing but tears,
if you don't listen our future is grim!
…funny how this doom comes every four years.
The end is coming, we're all gonna die!
…yet there go the children, playing outside.
