Feed My Sheep? Poem by Francie Lynch

Feed My Sheep?

Visited with Daddy
One more time before
He died.
Before I left the room
I asked if there was anything
He wanted.
I was shocked to hear:
'Feed my Sheep.'

My friend who was closer
To Dad heard:
'Clean my teeth.'

Not quite the same as Camus'
Deathbed announcement.
Daddy died with an existential smile.
