Feed The Defiant Flame Poem by Sven Rhoads

Feed The Defiant Flame

You have used me and abused me
With no respect you want to take more and more
You accuse me but I know you'll see
One day I promise it's all coming back to you

Like a shark it will come from below
Before you'll know its too late
So its said, You reap what you sow
With your own hand you ceil your fate

So keep dragging me through the mud
And over the broken glass
The sweet retribution
Its coming on fast
So smile as wide as you can
And think that you have won
Feed the defiant flame
Cause your downfall has begun

Do you want a second helping
For the insatiable need
I will promise to bring you down
On your face not your knees

Like a dragon thats breathing fire
Lets see the smile bathed in flame
As regret clouds your desire
You will never forget my name

You need me more than I need you
Its time for you fools to face the truth
You can have all my years of this pain
As you burn in my defiant flame
