Ink should run dry on
dusty scrolls
Words about walls and weary souls.
In twenty-twenty-six, the trash should be burned
A common lesson, finally learned.
No more the bickering, the fearful cries
Beneath the same, wide open skies
For humans share one beating heart,
No matter where and how their journeys start.
Skin of gold or deepest night
Beliefs that shine, a different light
All deserve, a gentle peace
A chance for life, a sweet release.
I walk as kin, a traveler free
On this vast Earth, for all to see
No lines on maps, can truly bind
The common spirit of all mankind.
Migrant, settler, no such name,
Just fellow travelers, all the same.
On this shared globe, we find our way,
Human beings, come what may.
