Fervent Devotion Poem by Govind Ramakrishnan

Fervent Devotion

Rating: 4.3

Amidst
The incantation
Of esoteric mantras
Each deity
At home is
Meticulously bathed
With milk and honey,
Then dressed in
Silk garments
And finally offered
A platter of fruits
And flowers.

This is no ordinary ritual

But a
Selfless act
Of fervent devotion
Which
Intensifies
A seeker's love,
For the conscious
Being within.
