Few Questions Poem by Andy Procter

Few Questions

Rating: 5.0

Why can't I stop these tears that fall endlessly from me?
Why can't I make my soul speak truth instead of lies in me?
Why can't I stop forgetting the one held so deep in me?
Why can't I slow this fragile life that's far too brief for me?
Why can't I stop this racing time that keeps outrunning me?
Why can't I trim the anger I keep turning on myself and me?
Why can't I leave this dream where someone waits for me?
Why can't I build a heaven here—this world I long to see in me?
