Few things
Few things
But in our environment
They give pleasure round us
And
Round us we want pleasure
Round us we joy in pleasure
Amidst
The handcuffs of this dreary earth
The dawn, the rising sun,
The winter storms, the zenith of a day, and
Then the restive afternoon
The sunset and the first gloom
Of a yet happy dusk
And then
The night again
And then the circle be closed
and then re-starts again
yet
in this dazzling run
some joy remain to us still
some joy in each drear day.
