Fig Jam On Toast, White Coffee, Skim Milk, Two Sugars Poem by Danny Draper

Fig Jam On Toast, White Coffee, Skim Milk, Two Sugars

Rating: 5.0

'Friend I'm great just ask me'
Obviously now that others appreciate superior talent,
Where higher intellect tethers eccentricity
Causing outmoded fair-weather friends empty egos,
Slowly killing individual motivation,
Mainly in lost kindness,
'Timely withering omission,
Some ugly gits are really successful.

Hello Danny... The first thing that strikes me of this write (and I may be wrong) but the shopping listy title seems to bare a significance... Figs (we say don't give a fig) almost a distrustworthy fruit, (skimmed) milk.. To flit over or be ignored and the two sweetners.... This seems to me a friend or friends flitting off in their own self importance... And the tie up line is such a great punch line... Sock it to um! I say... Bravo for a great grey matter piece... Karen
