'Fight Amongst Pillows' - Poem by Kevin Wang

here we are
day upon day
night overlays another
like waves fighting for freedom

the darkened sky
breaking fast upon the drowning sun
the anewed morrow after midnight
sending the parchment flying amongst the whispers of the wind

take a second to breath the ocean air
take a minute to muse upon the perfect picture
yet take a dive into the overwhelming feelings
in this glass bowl

ink upon parchment
love upon fights
yet truly within
brings out yet only the best
it is only the gentlest touch that'll do the trick
like the illusion upon the naked eye
or magic of what appears on this lightened day

what say you
who points toward I
not to fret upon this worry
yet i take care
upon your backs
cuz what are friends for
as this is a word
a clashing battle
yet with no weapons to destroy our nature
but only with pillows
the dearest inner upon our hearts
to fight to the last if we may
but forevermore til this wish
to last as a dream come true
rather than just a story to be told
