Fighting Elephants Poem by Haruna Garba

Fighting Elephants

Rating: 5.0

In the middle east jungles
Two rogue elephants live
They live adamant to peace
Thinking less of their grasses
They ally with more rogue ones
Four mortar bottomed feet
Treading ravaging dances
Grasses flying to locked frontiers
They are where wanted they are
The first twins stuck with grudges
The second, the hired hands
Inwardly like it thus played
The dumb remain sworn foes
The lizards happy with the crack
