Fighting For Nothing Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Fighting For Nothing

Fighting for nothing

Reads the great sign:
"Free, liberate and be equal."

The news of today...
Both of them are women.

"Old woman missing..."
"One killed in accident."

1.
"A house has burned down
The roof is on the ground.
Old woman lived there
Lonely; disappeared."

2.
She was thirty, young
Headed for work
Early, it was dark
Hurried, she crossed
With the first touch died."

3.
She might have set fire.
She was single mother.

4.
Why are slogans serving the richer?
Free the women to be good workers
Why did we forget being human?
Where is slogan; "Must love mother,
Brothers and men care for women! "?

5.
Life is but a shame filled with slogans:
"Fighting for nothing; caring for nothing."
