Final Breath Poem by Sven Rhoads

Final Breath

This empty room of my mental torture
Dreams are being eaten by my demons
Under the spell of a sadistic sorcerer
Feeding the reason of my grieving

Well, tonight I will put an end to this
Shining steel across my wrist
I hear the final breath's beckoning call
As I pull the trigger and paint the walls

Too many times I have failed myself
Now all I count are the dwindling hours
A surging hatred like nothing else
Love like poison has become so sour

Well, today will be the last one
I will slip away with the setting sun
Hold me tight right around my neck
As I fall to slumber with no regret

Two in my hands, two in my feet
But only one more to claim defeat
Full of shadows, I begin to swell
Into the abyss of my personal hell
One down the throat, one in the brain
One final breath for tapping the vein
As the last drop falls for no more to give
The final breath in a world I cant live
