Final Conversation Poem by Stuart Doggett

Final Conversation

The silence of a thousand words,
So many words
Hovering between us
Tantalisingly close,
Choking the air
Until it lies still.

I stare at what I’ve done,
Sand through my fingers,
Magic just burnt away
Like so much smoke in the wind.
