Final Moments Poem by Justin Hendricks

Final Moments

Now I've jumped there's no retreat.
I can't believe I accomplished such a feat.
The days grew long and much to hard.
And now i took it much to far.

The ground approaches my blurry gaze.
Now my life is just a haze.
Of painful memories i cannot bear.
So i did what i assumed was fair.

With my final breath i call your name.
And know in my heart that your to blame.
But it's far too late with no escape.
I will seal this cursed fate.

My mind goes blank as my body sank.
My life is over forever it will be.
Before i am truly able to see.
She loved me while i had to flee.
Because nobody loves a tainted soul.
Thats much too dark to ever grow old.

You will see me maybe someday.
Or someway since i couldn't stay.
But i hope you know how cold it feels.
This ocean, my fate it seals.
