Final Sleep Poem by Fernando Alvarez

Final Sleep

Here I stand, by the ledge.
Before I jump, I say this pledge:
When I die, send me to heaven.
I've been needing this since I was eleven.
And if you don't, that's ok,
I won't be mad, I'm dead anyway.
Now with that said, I take the leap,
And wait for my final slip.
