Finding Salvation Poem by Michael J Williams

Finding Salvation

Rating: 5.0

What person,
who has ever lived
has never said
'I am broken, and I cannot go on this way anymore'
And then picks them self up and continues living
How many more have said the same
and gave up
and disappeared into nothing...
never to be found again
The world is full of dreams that never get fulfilled
The world is full of wishes that are never granted
We can either push forward
or melt away,
it's that simple
Everyone has problems
everyone has pain
The people who can overcome these adversities are the people who ‘make it'
The ones who can't find the strength to go on sadly evaporate into a forgotten chasm
This is not to say these unfortunate souls are lesser persons
We all have our breaking point
Some live lives that don't come close to that destructive limit
They never realize the futility and frustration the less fortunate cope with
Surround yourself with kind and loving people
That way if you fall there will always be someone to guide you
back to life and all the joy that comes with living
