Future's Hope Poem by Michael J Williams

Future's Hope

They shouldn't do it for the money
They shouldn't do it for the fame
They should do it ‘cause it needs doing
If not… no one's left to blame

We live in a world of harshness
We concern ourselves with only ‘me'
Others are just an after-thought,
This isn't how the world should be

We want a world of fairness
We desire a world of truth
The world's neither fair nor true
We must guide our precious youth

Our scions must be bonded
To more righteous, kindly goals
The future lies with youthful mind
And honest, innocent souls

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
