Finding The Shadow Poem by MJ Khalid

Finding The Shadow

Finding the shadow
However, it was half moon night
I could see only the shadow flight,
Who thronged into the vessel of my vision?
In blue Gown, low profile as if on a mission,
No breeze did enter the room and hence,
There was a bridge of unfolded silence,
My granny observed the sudden head rise,
Turned my side to witness the glittering pearls into my eyes,
Sleep baby sleep, telling you, this is not nice,
If you continue to awake, you will pay the price
Thousands of days passed by, thousands of nights,
Still haunts me Granny's melodious song bites,
i have been on search for whose shadow it was,
In the last Thirty-nine years, i could not find him alas!
Like a Bedouin, a group of cold thoughts were teamed
When i read my own poem on the Web, screamed
The light without lantern, air without fan,
O my dear Nilofar, here is the man.
