Fire And Wine That I Give You Poem by Arun Maji

Fire And Wine That I Give You

You are so freaking drunk and deluded
In fire and wine that I give you
You never leave me.
Never. Never ever.

Drunk and deluded.
Yes, drunk and deluded.
You or me?
You.
Or maybe me
Maybe we both.

We are like
Thirty earth and pouring cloud,
Exploding volcano and all-consuming tsunami.
We crave each other
Bite each other
Swallow each other
Wound each other
Complete each other.

Yes, my dear sweetness,
We love that piercing pain
Love that penetrating wound.
We love stink of our sweat,
Shiver of our quaking body,
Gasp of our insane breath
Cry of our unfulfilled soul.

Make no mistake o love
Make no mistake.
Time is ticking
And cruel death is on way
To take one of us
Before other.

We must not waste a moment.
We must not.
Every single moment we have
We must hurt each other
Pain each other
Wound each other.

We must be wounded within and outside.
So that
When one of us must go
He or she would have that wound
To lick on
While crossing river of death.
