Fire & Frost Poem by Ellis Slater

Fire & Frost

Rating: 5.0

Two ends of a spectrum, always separate
One shimmering while the other flickering
Both always extremely temperate
The timeless bond, yet always bickering

Fire and frost are inherently different, yes?
The difference is hard to see, for me
These elements of nature are just trying
Trying to do their best

Fire, the hot-headed domestic beast
Treating everything else least
Frost, the cool and calm unknown
Discounting everything that they're shown

While one mirrors, the other emits fumes
Society "knowing" that they'll both aim for the steeple
Escaping the expectation, yet it still looms
Now what if I told you Fire and Ice were people?
