Fire To The Rain Poem by Adriana Torres

Fire To The Rain

Rating: 5.0

Hurt on my own, wounded inside the heart that makes a beat; where we once had collide
You walked in a healer, claimed to be my hero
Saved I felt drenched in your arms as you watched me melt
In return you fell, fell hard in love with this strain of lust we both felt
A passion turned to flames
When you reached out for my name
That was a time when you empathized with the blind
Lost your mind
Indeed you've gone far physically and mentally
Emotions in every way literally
The night burned through your eyes
You've trailed ashes across your lies
Your strength across my chest to try to defend the lies you placed
Caught red handed and that can never be replaced
The hours I waited forever
In a path that ran dry down the river
So I drowned you in your fears
Stabbed you through your mirrors
As you watched the reflection; I saw your pain
Now with this transition; I left you in the rain
