First American Valentine

Rating: 4.1

So fresh and smart
Invited me out on a special date.
For sushi we went, in Ft. Lauderdale,
After wine talk under the moon spark.

At the restaurant a nice kiss, soft.
The waitress came on a talk:
Happy February 14th,
again and again she spoke.

Into my eyes his light blue eyes,
Straight look of romance.
Happy Valentines day,
The waitress back interrupted: Happy February 14th

A kiss again he delivered with a rose his speech:
to my lovely valentine, to you this sweet strawberry,
with my heart for you, and only you in chocolates,
made for you as desert.

My memory erased his name, Jay…
For he was afraid of maintenance.
Still a lovely gentleman, used to win me
And loose, a cycle he was getting used.

After a while, I felt abused,
Probably bored, as he became predictable,
And afraid to grow the dare,
Extending the day, but after all, his name is only Jay.
