First Kiss - Poem by jon barron

That laugh, that smile
I haven’t seen in a while
I haven’t seen those eyes,
Run my hands through your hair
Kissed you goodnight,
Or let you know I still care
But of this thought I feel we’re astranged
All I ask is ONE chance to let you see that I’ve changed

Those lips, that smile
Make me think for a while
Of the fun times now past
Had that kiss not been our last
If we could go back to that first time we kissed
That time near the beach,
These small things I’ll miss
To relight the flame from when our lips did first meet
I’d give anything to even just sit on a seat;
And be near you and hold you all through the night
To keep you from harm and those things which cause fright
