First Love. Poem by Tracy Sullivan

First Love.

An apple a day never kept me away,
Time then past us day by day.
But who would think that we could say...
That we could end up in such a way.

You danced and sang that funny night
and oh it was a funny sight.
We laughed and laughed seeing you there,
But the best thing was.... You didn't care.

You looked at me, with head in hand,
But 'Why'.. I couldn't understand.
But out you came
With words of gold,
Those years had past & now we're old.

But happily, I smiled at you
And said 'A date'.. I'd happily do.
The times we spend are more & more,
And happy I am, I know for sure.

So follow your heart
And enjoy the fun,
As sadness and moods,
We will have none.

You say your mine
And I have you,
But now I'm giving you a clue.
I'm yours too baby
