First Time, Into That Larger World Poem by james watkin

First Time, Into That Larger World

Each of these babes, branched nestlings
Tell of a counterpart.
Who as learner-songsters, leap
If but from the heart.

Waved, with winds' alacrity
On up, Spring-warm, through this:
Which urge to love, and be loved
None had dared to miss.
