First Writings: Poems Compelled Driven Poem by Terence George Craddock

First Writings: Poems Compelled Driven

it is high praise to be called inspirational
it is high praise to be called a Master poet
after more than four decades time invested in words
writing themes thoughts fleeting thoughts poetry
trying to capture perception insights with clarity
to capture will-o'-the-wisp ephemeral flame images

I did not want to write cliche
I wanted to write accurately
with depth perception universal truth

testing themes statements
metaphors sometimes each word
words came I desired
to achieve a few poem perfections
not a single word out of place
not a single word more or less than needed
strangely I started writing without a learning curve
even first poems a few wrote themselves complete

first poems still remembered are most enduring
did I write them well did I write them inspiring
did I write a few complete without even trying

'Snowpowder', 'State Of 20th Century Man'
'Bubbling Brock', 'Fleeting Thought',
'Ode To The Poet', ''of reflections'',
'Visions From A Dream State',
'Beauty Revealed', 'Perspective Stand'
'The Secret Of The Grail, 'Etching In Glass',
'Not Today', 'The Garden Party'
'Tribute', 'Ad Astra' written in 1981,1982...

what thoughts what feelings what passions
invoked writing these poems thousands
to come in mind concept life explorings?
