Firtree Of Tchaikovsky Poem by Liza Sud

Firtree Of Tchaikovsky

I was once astonished by Tchaikovsky.
I was listening to radio performance.
The Nutcracker, and they said: a firtree-
And then music was to go.

While it played – I goggled at the air.
Was this heaven’s music really a fir tree?
Did I ever see a fur tree? – never!
It was so far from trees – and close!

You just have to find a program sometimes,
Programs of all symphonies – as Mahler’s.
Then you will compare how profound
Music is, although depicting ground!
