Fishing Theme 3. If My Cat Ate It, He’d Look Like This Shed. Poem by Konstantin Ananin

Fishing Theme 3. If My Cat Ate It, He’d Look Like This Shed.

- What a carp I’ve caught!
_______________________- Stop!
Let me catch your hands! I want
To hold them. Then you will not
Exaggerate.
_____________- The carp I caught
At dawn is big. I’ll show
If my hands are free.
___________________- No!
- I’m always held up to scorn
By you!
_________- But your last long
Tale held no water!
___________________- It’s…
Its eye’s as big as my fist!
- What? I swear this carp must
Be shown to Mr. Crust
Who showed the biggest carp
In the club and got a cup.
- But it was eaten!
________________- Who could
Eat such a good deal of food?
- Your cat!
__________- If my Jasper ate…
He… he would look like this shed.
