Fix Me Poem by nisha dyrene

Fix Me

I miss being unafraid
Of lizards, big dogs and responsibility
I remember believing
In fairies, forevers and soulmates
I wish I hadn’t lost
My watch, my puppy, my confidence
I should have kept
My virginity, my friends, my conscience

If only I didn’t grow up
And make bad choices.
If only I could go back in time
And learn how to fix me
