Flakes Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Flakes

Flakes

-am in rush so must run
He told me
To hurry I agreed
-we will meet.

With time short
Distance long
-what to do?
-check sky!

That I did
-sun, cloud and zero

Could expect
Rain,
Snow,
Drizzle.

On windshield sat flakes
In the air and sky
Danced flakes
Angel-like

Flakes talked of power
Maternal, the nature's
They carried a message.

Felt the joy, pleasure
In my heart and brain.

And that was strengthened
When called me old friend
We had lunch, which he paid
More dollars in his palm…
He shoved into mine…

I felt awe…
