Flanør Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

Flanør

Flanør

I will not write word today
Not on the blank screen
Perhaps on paper and pencil
When writing I feel closer to whatever
I'm writing about.
Only my hand writing is so bad
I practically have to reinvent on the screen the poem
I wrote on a pad.
I look long and hard
to find back to the feeling I had when scratching down
a letter, which is a form of conversation with self.
Writing creates honesty
it also creates thinking I reason better when writing
but, as I said, no writing today.
