And so the story goes.
I’ll use poetry, not prose.
Do you remember flannel?
Stories told across a panel.
Figures adhere to the board you see.
Bible lessons taught to you and me.
Two dimensional religion at a glance.
Despite the outcome, give Jesus a chance.
What is faith of only two dimensions?
It is one made up of multiple pretensions.
Knowledge and rules lead the way.
Emotions must always be kept at bay.
This religion is very, very shallow.
Check lists have become hallow.
Jesus showed us all how to live.
Flannel boards don’t show how to forgive.
Relationships require much of you and me.
2,000 years ago the example was nailed to a tree.
God loves you is the continuing story.
In the end, His will be with Him in glory.
