Flare Of Fire (From Gods And Demons) Poem by Isabel Szurlej

Flare Of Fire (From Gods And Demons)

Rating: 5.0

Enclosed rings whirling around and
Uncertainty yanks guts of demons.
You and me crucified by blackness, breathing hard
In the coldness from the moon.
Unknown takes full flight, comes the devil.
Dawn dispels the dead of night
Leaving its bareness behind.

It started before the sun placed itself
On the celestial equator.
The star exploded, her stellar debris and
A heat from the blast emitted red, soft X-rays.
Morning never came for residents of Orion's belt.
What if one thought could end their native land?

Flare of fire, modern world burnt
Fugitives from Orion hide in Milky Way.
They hoped that the Serpent Bearer, a symbol
Of rebirth will revive the Betelgeuse,
Orange-tawny shoulder of the Orion and
The pillar propping up the sky.
Blind hopes, with the advent of winter
None of this happened.
Serpentarius cannot destroy natural order because
All sacred things must have their place.
Albeit he learned the secret of keeping death at bay
Lords preserve the immortality only for themselves.

We are last alabaster souls, living crumbs fallen galactic
Frequency of plastic hearts beating at complete darkness
Systematic errors in data was God's plague sent human
Psychological anomaly destroyed logical access
A low amplitude pulses unexplained evil axis.

Congratulations on being chosen as The Member Poem Of The Day. Hoorrray! 5 Stars for this poem that mesmerizes me. It has that oldfashioned tune in it. I like that very much!
