Flowering Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Flowering

After a day of flowering
The petals close
Close gracefully
The voice in
As direct proportion
First hoarse
Grows
Then more and more
Parched and stifled:
Till
The Poet Seer speaks not
The Poet Seer versifies not
The Poet Seer chants not
After the flowering.
